HISTORY

The company was founded 1991 by Odd Syse, Lars Nilssen and Hasse Söderström. In 1998 Sherpa Film produced it first cinema documentary 'Stein og stjerner', following the rock group Dum Dum Boys touring Norway.

Bård and Lars go fishing

TV-series about two guys fishing in every corner of the world. 21 episodes x 28 minutes. Broadcasted in Norway (NRK), Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Directed and shoot by Lars Nilssen.

Panda Rai

One hour documentary about the artist Jan Wangaard living in Lofoten in northern part of Norway.

Short stories for Voluntary organisations. We have produced sponsor reportages for other production companies from Zambia, Burundi, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, Nicaragua, Malawi, Indonesia, Tanzania, Senegal, Bangladesh, Kongo, Georgia, Cambodia, Russia and Uganda, working for Red Cross, MFS, Plan, SOS Childrens Villages, Norwegian Refugee Consul and Norwegian Peoples Aid.

The wheel of life

12 min short film about the Vigeland Park in Oslo through one year. Won 1. Price at the Bilbao Documentary film festival in Spain 1997 and the Dolby Prize in Grimstad short film festival 1997. Directed by Lars Nilssen.

Jump

A 6 min short film with a different point of vie won the Holmenkollen ski jump competition. Won the The Poids d'or 1995 (The first prize in the European TV stations sport film festival). Directed by Odd Syse and Lars Nilssen.

Koss

A portrait of the Norwegian speed skater Johan Olav Koss. Won Premio Agis (first prize), Internationale Cinema Sportivo, Torino, Italy 1994

Håvard Larsen

A portrait during four seasons of a sami-artist famous for his hand-made knives and artwork, made in the traditional sami way. Show on TV2 (Norway) and SVT (Sweden).
